Free School Meals

The government provides funding for schools to support young people from lower income families to get the most from the educational opportunities we provide. For every child registered for Free School Meals, funding increases by £935 this year. With this money we can continue to improve our students’ learning experience and achievement.

Please register as soon as possible to make sure your child does not miss out on this funding.

Registering is quick and easy, so use the link below to check if you are entitled to Free School Meals:

Or alternatively call 08458 247 247, select option 2 and state your national insurance number and date of birth. The operator will inform you immediately if your child/children are entitled to FSM.

Registering for Free School Meals will not affect any other benefits you are claiming. The link below is for downloading an application form if you are told that you are able to claim FSM. We also keep copies in the Academy office.

Free School Meals Form

Once you are registered, your child will be entitled to a free meal at lunchtime and we will receive an extra £935 for the year 2018-19 to further support our students’ education. If you would prefer your child to not have the school meals, they are welcome to continue as normal. We will still receive the extra funding, which is not affected by that decision.
