Online Safety Help Page

Online Safety is paramount at Goodwin Academy, especially with the increasing access to online platforms that contain potentially harmful content. In order to equip our students to safeguard themselves when it comes to being aware of the dangers of misleading information available, we have developed 7 foci, all of which are supported by salient points that will be reiterated across the school via the following: staff week ahead, student teams, TV monitors, school website and school calendar.

These 7 foci and salient points will be shared on a rotation each week and each topic will be delivered to the students during their PSHE lessons.

The 7 foci are:

  1. Cyberbullying
  2. Sharing semi-nude and nude images
  3. Peer pressure
  4. Self-esteem
  5. Online Pornography
  6. Healthy relationships
  7. Body Image
