The National Education Union (NEU) Industrial Action

On Thursday 12th June, Goodwin Academy will be open to year 11, year 12 and year 13 students only. These groups have been prioritised due to being exam year groups.  All year 11, 12 and 13 students are expected to attend Goodwin Academy on this day. 

Revision exam classes will be timetabled for all students in these three year groups to support them in preparation for their exams. External GCSE and A Level exams scheduled for this day will run as normal.

Online learning will be set on Microsoft Teams for students in years 7 to 10. This will be set on Wednesday ready for pupils to access on Thursday.                 

We will operate a small provision for students identified as vulnerable learners.

Exhibition Corner at Deal Station

We are thrilled to continue our partnership with South Eastern Railway and The Arts Society Dover, Deal and Sandwich as we present more of our student's vibrant artwork at Deal Train Station as part of our Exhibition Corner. 

Currently, we are displaying a stunning variety of Key Stage 4 and 5 art work and photography. This is a great taster ahead of our annual Summer Exhibition, which is taking place at our school on Thursday 20th June 2024,  3:30 - 6pm, open to parents, friends and family to celebrate the incredible work of our GCSE and A-Level Art, Craft & Design and Photography students.

We look forward to showcasing their efforts, both in our show and our local exhibit throughout the next year and wish every success to their future endeavours.
