Celebrations all round for the students at Goodwin Academy receiving their GCSE results!

The students of Goodwin Academy are celebrating this morning as they receive a fantastic set of GCSE results!

This year, students have excelled themselves. Through their hard work and determination to succeed, many achieved their desired grades. Students are now preparing for the next stage of their education, whether it be to continue on for Sixth Form, go to college or start an apprenticeship.

The academy saw particular successes in Art, Biology, Design Technology, English, Food Technology, French, History, Maths, Physics, Business Studies, Health and Social Care and Sport. Students achieved grade 9’s in Art, Biology, Chemistry and History.

There have been a number of personal accomplishments and standout performances this year, including;

  • Corvus Edwards successfully achieved 9 in Biology, Chemistry, Art and History and 8 in Maths, English Language, English Literature and Physics and a Distinction in IT.
  • Olivia Ashcroft successfully achieved 8 in Art, 7 in English Literature and Food Technology, 6 in Combined Science and Geography, 5 in Maths and 4 in English language.
  • Connor Bakridansuccessfully achieved 7 in Maths, 6 in English Language, Chemistry and Physics, 5 in English Literature and Biology, Merit in Music and Pass in Media Studies.
  • Charlie Bennett successfully achieved 8 in Food Technology, 7 in Physics and Biology, 6 in Maths, English Language, English Literature, Chemistry and Geography and Merit in IT.
  • Matthew Latham successfully achieved 6 in Maths, English Language, English Literature and Physics, 5 in Biology, Chemistry and History, Distinction in Media and Merit in Business.
  • Jessica Luck successfully achieved 8 in Geography, 7 in English Literature and Language, 6 in Biology and Chemistry, 5 in Maths and Physics and Distinction in Business and Health and Social Care.
