Further information about how our Trust and schools are taking necessary precautions since the outbreak of the Coronavirus, can be found in our Trust’s ‘Coronavirus (COVID-19) website section’.
If any key worker whose child is not currently using our childcare facility and is unable to provide childcare at home, you must give the school 24 hours’ notice that you need to use this provision so that we can provide appropriate staffing. This means emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 01304 403 103 by 9am the day before. For Monday provision, please ensure that you contact the school by 9am on the preceding Friday. Students arriving without giving 24 hours’ notice may be turned away if we do not have adequate staffing.
This year Goodwin ventured further afield for its annual residential. During the May half-term, 32 students travelled with Mr Brady, Miss Paige, Miss Dore and Mr Dixon to the Dordogne for 9 days of adventurous activities. The group took part in kayaking, sailing, canoeing, climbing and high ropes to name just a few activities, many students overcoming their fears that ranged from heights to simply being away from home. On leaving, many of the students did not really know each other due to the age gaps; they may have left as individuals but came back as one big family.
Due to its success, next year’s trip has already been booked and is virtually full. If your child wants to join us then please contact Mr Dixon, but you will need to hurry!!!!
